Ally is a clinical psychologist who works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, attachment and relational concerns, emotion regulation difficulties, body image issues, disordered eating, adjustment and stress management concerns. Ally also has a special interest and has received advanced training in supporting those recovering from trauma including post-traumatic stress disorder, childhood sexual abuse and adult sexual assault.
Ally’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and non-pathologising and she is passionate about providing a therapeutic space that is conducive to people healing themselves. Ally understands the importance of fostering a respectful and safe therapeutic relationship, believes clients are the experts in their experience and views therapy as a collaborative process. In addition to her work at the Talking Cure Psychology Group, Ally works as a senior psychologist in a specialist trauma service in public mental health.
